Remote Web Workplace and XP SP3
The release of Windows XP SP3 and subsequent installation on computers has introduced an issue with Remote Web Workplace as found in Windows Small Business Server 2003. Security changes witin SP3 prevent the Terminal Services Client from running within Internet Explorer. There are three steps required to resolve the issue and they are as follows:

First, within Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Manage Add-Ons, Enable or Disable Add-ons. Look for an entry which says “Terminal Services....” and if it is Disabled, change to Enable. Close and restart Internet Explorer.

The second item to check is whether previously used ActiveX controls can be used within prompting. Within Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options, Security Tab, Custom Level Button, and then scroll to the “ActiveX controls and plug-ins” section and make sure the first item “Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt” is set to “Enable”. Save the chage, close and restart Internet Explorer.

Finally, if the about two do not work, follow the directions below, but be careful.
We need to delete a registry key, so do this carefully.

1. Go to Start, Run, and type “regedit” and press ok
2. Browse to the following folder:
   a. HKEY_CURRENT_USER
   b. \Software
   c. \Microsoft
   d. \Windows
   e. \CurrentVersion
   f. \Ext
   g. \Settings
3. Then delete the following folder on the left: {7584C670-2274-4EFB-B00B-D6AABA6D3850}
4. Close Internet Explorer and re-open it.

The above registry step will need to be completed for each user who logs onto the local computer (computer accessing Remote Web Workplace), as the registry entry is user specific.
